We provide three Fall tours. Choose one!

Bee Observatory ($10) - Students will enjoy visiting the “Honey Hut” and venturing through our exciting “Little Farmers” corn maze. They will love dressing a bee and learning about the pollination process. Of course they will also learn all about how pumpkins grow as well as about other NC crops while visiting the Ag classroom.

Chicken Coop ($10) - While visiting our Ag classroom, students will learn about the life cycle of a chicken, how to gather eggs at the “Hen Pen,” and will enjoy dressing a chicken! Certainly we will also discuss PUMPKINS and visit our giant sunflower patch as well!

Butter Making ($12) - Kids and adults will enjoy visiting with our Cudzoo calf, as they learn about NC dairy farming, practice “milking” Bessie (our make believe heifer), dressing a cow, and making their own snack of fresh butter and crackers!

All Tours Are One-Hour & Include:

Ag-Classroom Visit - Fun and educational activities

Hay Ride around the pumpkin patch

Pumpkin Picking - Each person gets to pick a Pie Pumpkin from the field.

UNLIMITED Back Forty & Picnic Time including the Great Pumpkin Jump!

"... The children had such a wonderful time! I truly appreciate your kindness and patience as we scheduled this trip. I only heard absolutely wonderful things from the parents and teachers. Everything is so organized and those strawberries are excellent! Take care and I hope that you have a wonderful and prosperous year."
- Khalilah Badger, Fuller Elementary

Spring Strawberry Tour
Vollmer Farm has made the decision to discontinue our spring strawberry tours to the farm. Doing this will enable us to concentrate more on our fall tours and we are making plans to increase the educational aspect of these tours and provide a better experience for students, teachers, and adult chaperones.

We so appreciate your continued support of our family farm and hope you will consider choosing Vollmer Farm for your fall school tour. We can begin booking fall tours anytime, so follow the link above to register!

Thank you for your understanding!
