The Vollmer Family is honored to be part of this community. North Carolina has been our home for five generations and thanks to families who continue to visit us, we'll be here for generations to come.
We don't like to brag, but some of our visitors do! Here's what folks say about Vollmer Farm. Already been? Tell us about your visit.
"I just wanted to let you know how HAPPY a time we have every time we come by and how friendly and helpful everyone always is. We have come out for strawberries for years, and recently for pumpkins as well. There are farms closer to Raleigh we have visited in the past, but even with the price of gas being so high right now, Vollmer Farm is WELL WORTH the drive! I just love the tradition/memory your special farm is for our children. Thanks so very much!"

"My family spent the day at your farm today. It was wonderful. I just wanted to tell you how nice it is to see an entire business staff friendly, welcoming and smiling. Even though it was hot and I am sure a long day, everyone that was working was so kind. True southern hospitality is at work at your farm."
- Cynthia Thelen
"I just wanted to let you know how wonderful your strawberries are. We have been to pick several times but it is a bit of a drive for us. We recently went to a farm closer to our house. They charged the exact same as your farm but theirs were not organic. I got home and started eating the berries and I was extremely unhappy with them. The taste was so bland that it made me angry that I had wasted my time and money on them. Your Berries are without a doubt worth the drive & and I will never make the mistake of buying them anywhere else when yours are available. I would also like to note that I have heard many people in our area commenting on your berries as well. It seems word is out. If you want awesome berries, you gotta go to Vollmer's. Thanks for the great berries."

"Thank you so much for the awesome opportunity of allowing us to visit the farm. The children had such a wonderful time! I truly appreciate you're your kindness and patience as we scheduled this trip. I only heard absolutely wonderful things from the parents and teachers. Everything is so organized and those strawberries are excellent! Take care and I hope that you have a wonderful and prosperous year."
- Khalilah Badger, Fuller Elementary
"I visited your farm for the first time on Saturday. I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it. Besides the good things you do for the kids; I know you are a working farm. It's hard work and long hours. I jut wanted to tell you that you are appreciated for the good things you do on your farm. So many kids think eggs and veggies come from Food Lion. You never know what a kids sees and experiences will create a spark in them for their future. Who knows? You may have some future farmers in the kids that visit.
Thanks for your effort and I will be back in the future."
- Annette Dorman
"Dear Farmer John & Co:
I brought my family up to your farm yesterday. We visited a few times this summer to pick organic strawberries. The strawberries were beautiful, great tasting and practically fell into our buckets. Eating organically, when we can, is really important to our family."
- Doug, Kelly and Kyla Toth, Raleigh, NC

- Tammy Hartman, Chesterbrook Elementary
"Many thanks to you and your staff for another fun filled day at the farm. I had many parents and children who had never been to your farm and after our trip I think you may have some return visitors. God gave us a beautiful day and you helped us have lots of fun together. We hope to see you in the spring for Strawberries!
Many thanks."
