Slide down Windmill Mountain at lightnin’ speed!

Our 40-foot underground slide is NOT your regular ol’ garden-variety slide. Just take a look at this VIDEO Jacob Vollmer shot…(and do him a favor: don’t tell his Mom and don’t try this at home!)

We don’t know anybody who doesn’t like trains, but you know, we just have to do things a little differently on Vollmer Farm: our train, the Udder Run, looks like COWS!

That’s the Pumpkin Princess driving. She may be a Princess but she knows her way around the farm equipment, too!

The Back Forty is open to the general public on weekends only and on weekdays for educational tours requiring reservations.

2008 Fall Hours of Operation		Weekend Admission
September 20th through November 2nd Open EVERY Weekend Saturday: 10:00 am to 8:00 pm Sunday: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm		Individual - $15 Seniors 65+ - $12 Children 2 & up - $15 Group Rates - $12 (25+; 1 person must purchase all tickets) Season Passes - Family of Four - $110; Individual - $30 (Weekends only)

		Jump Into Food - Support the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina by bringing a can of food and receive $1.00 per person off a weekend admission. Our 2007 food drive brought in 298lbs of canned food.
